The Queen will promote the international positioning of Teatro Real –an emblematic Spanish cultural institution and one of Europe’s most prestigious opera houses– and will foster its visibility and penetration within business environments worldwide.
With particular emphasis on markets beyond Spain, The Queen will design and plan integrated institutional relations and corporate diplomacy strategies aimed at enabling leading international companies to channel the strategic management of their corporate relationships through Teatro Real and its ecosystem of artistic and cultural milestones.
The Teatro Real Foundation is presided over by the King and Queen of Spain and includes the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Government of Spain and the Government of the Community of Madrid as founding public administrations. Likewise, its accredited international prestige is reinforced by a Diplomatic Circle composed of the ambassadors accredited to Spain from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Italy, Mexico, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, and Morocco.
Within the framework of Teatro Real’s international projection and its potential penetration into high-level institutional and business ecosystems, a recent milestone worth highlighting is the Teatro Real Concert “Acordes de España”, held in China in November 2025 at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing. The event was presided over by the King and Queen of Spain and by the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping. Around this milestone, an intensive programme of activities took place aimed at strengthening ties between the institutional and business ecosystems of leading companies and organizations.
According to The Queen’s CEO, Juanfer Calderín, “Teatro Real is not only an artistic and cultural reference; it is also a unique and unprecedented instrument for the development of corporate diplomacy initiatives, both in Spain and abroad.” “Promoting the penetration of an institution of extraordinary international relevance is at once an exciting challenge and a privilege,” he added.
